“喋喋不休”用英語(yǔ)怎么說(shuō)？

1. come clean

come clean的意思是“全盤(pán)招供；和盤(pán)托出”。

I thought it was time to come clean (with everybody) about what I'd been doing.

我認為到時(shí)候了，該（向大家）說(shuō)清楚我一直在干些什么。

和clean相關(guān)的一個(gè)搭配還有make a clean breast of it，也是全盤(pán)招供的意思。

Julia finally made a clean breast of it and admitted that she had stolen the money.

朱莉婭最終坦白了，承認是她偷了錢(qián)。

2. dwell on

sick of就是“對…厭惡”的意思，dwell是live的高級替換表達，表示“居住，棲身”。

而dwell on sth可不是住在哪里，它的意思是“老是想著(zhù)，一直在說(shuō)（尤指不好或令人不快之事）”。

In his speech, he dwelt on the plight of the sick and the hungry.

演講時(shí)他一直在說(shuō)遭受疾病和饑餓折磨的人們所處的困境。

3. lay into sb

lay into sb的意思是痛打；斥責（某人），后面搭配about表示原因。

這個(gè)短語(yǔ)和light into意思差不多，都表示“痛打；口頭上中傷”。

In the middle of the meeting she suddenly laid into him for no apparent reason.

在會(huì )上她突然無(wú)緣無(wú)故地把他訓斥了一頓。
