1. In error

Error表示“錯誤”，human error可指“人為失誤”，in error則表示“不對”、“錯的”。

例：I believe your conclusion is in error.
我認為你的結論是錯的。

2. Go wrong

出錯也都是有原因的，一開(kāi)始就選錯路，誤入歧途，自然是得不到正確的結果。

例：What could possibly go wrong?
究竟是什么出了問(wèn)題？

3. Blunder

做動(dòng)詞時(shí)blunder可以表示“失策”、“犯錯”，作名詞時(shí)表示因為馬虎或不動(dòng)腦子犯的錯。

例：Don't be afraid to make a mistake in your work. I'm not keeping score of every little blunder.
不要害怕工作中犯錯誤。我不會(huì )追究每一個(gè)小失誤的。

4. Put a foot wrong

放錯腳？說(shuō)話(huà)做事自然要選擇正確的姿勢，這個(gè)短語(yǔ)就表示“犯錯”。

例：He never put a foot wrong during the election campaign.
競選時(shí)他從沒(méi)犯過(guò)錯。

5. Drop the ball

從字面上看是“把球掉在地上”，這個(gè)短語(yǔ)的實(shí)際意思是“錯失良機”，“犯錯”，尤其指犯一些低級錯誤。

例：Let’s not drop the ball on this.
別在這種事情上出錯。
